Cardamom Quartet's performances since 2017 have focused exclusively on music by women. As the norm of concert programs devoid of women composers persists, we want to challenge ourselves, our audiences, and our music community to imagine alternative realities. It is our hope that our work will contribute in part to a shift in the canon as well as an amplification of underrepresented voices.

“Cardamom Quartet gave compelling and engaging interpretations of this varied and important repertoire...A range of imagery exciting, ghostly, melancholy, bizarre — are brought to aural life through a vivid palette of string techniques.”

— Liane Curtis, The Boston Music Intelligencer (President of Women’s Philharmonic Advocacy and The Rebecca Clarke Society, Inc.)

"Their [Cardamom Quartet's] work is excellent. I closed my eyes and gave in to the luscious sounds emanating from their instruments. Their chemistry is well-rehearsed, natural, and honest, and listening to their music was akin to having a personalized Carnegie Hall performance in my living room."
